ADORATION CHAPEL ORIENTATION AVAILABLE! Would you like to visit the Adoration Chapel but are unsure of what to do? We’d love to help you! Contact the Adoration Chapel Team for an orientation and tour at 717-838-3369, x 111, or email adorers@hspalmyra.com.
YOU’RE INVITED! Do you have a lot on your mind, hold a busy schedule, or have trouble concentrating? Are you carrying a burden or challenge that life dealt you? Do you feel bitter? Are you anxious or filled with fear? Are you or someone you know sick or struggling? Are you grateful for your family, your health, and the gifts that surround you? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then Jesus is calling you to come visit with Him. Sit in silence with our savior and let Him heal you. Take time out of your day to thank him and express your gratitude. This precious time, in His presence, will fill you with love, peace, patience, answers, and healing.
Our Chapel team is working on expanding the hours listed above. If you are interested in joining us by taking an hour prior to or following the current hours, contact us. If you need additional information or would like to get involved but are not sure of how or what to do, contact us for a chapel tour and orientation on how to make a Holy Hour. Our team is ready to help you get started! Email adorers@hspalmyra.com.
PRAYER CARDS are available in the Chapel to offer your hour of adoration as a special gift to those receiving your prayers. They are located on the sign-in table.
FROM OUR COORDINATOR:
When Divine Mercy Messenger, St. Maria Faustina of the Blessed Sacrament, was praying before Jesus in the Holy Eucharist, he showed her a vision. Each time a person entered the chapel and visited Jesus exposed in a monstrance, she saw His Divine Rays of Love and Mercy burst forth and encircle the whole world and everyone in it with graces and blessings! Jesus told her, “I want Adoration to take place…for the intention of imploring Mercy for the world” (Divine Mercy Diary, 1070).
Eucharistic Adoration helps us to be more personally involved with Christ, because it makes the Eucharist more central in our lives. By spending time with Jesus in the Eucharist, we can establish a truly personal relationship with Him.
A Eucharistic Adoration Chapel was established at the Church of the Holy Spirit in 1995. We started in a small room at the end of the education wing on the east side. Because adoration was very popular, we eventually enlarged the room to accommodate more visitors and adorers. We had coverage of the chapel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When we built the new church, we incorporated the Adoration chapel into our day chapel. It is now much larger and can accommodate many more adorers and visitors. The day chapel entrance is located at the west end of our main church, with a separate entrance and convenient parking.
We are presently short of our goal of coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and we need help in filling the open hours. Please consider joining us as a regular adorer by committing to an hour a week. If you cannot make a weekly commitment, then perhaps biweekly or even monthly would better fit your schedule.
